Enhanced Healthcare Services on the Horizon
A significant development is on the cards for the people of Udupi, as the renowned TMA Pai Hospital is all set to commence operations from its brand-new, cutting-edge facility located at National Highway 66, near Swagatha Gopura, Kadekar, starting June 1, 2026.
A Glimpse into the Future
The hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shashikiran Umakanth, announced that the public will be allowed to visit the new facility from May 22 to 24, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. This sneak peek will provide an opportunity for the community to witness the hospital’s transformation and upgraded facilities.
Established in 1984, the hospital has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the region. After over four decades, it is relocating to a sprawling 1.4-acre campus, boasting a 152-bed capacity. The new facility has been meticulously designed to incorporate advanced infrastructure, modern medical technology, and patient-friendly amenities, thereby augmenting healthcare services in the area.

- A 24×7 Emergency & Trauma Care Centre
- Four modular operation theatres equipped with advanced laparoscopic systems
- Expanded 25-bed ICU facilities
- Advanced dialysis support
- CT scan, Ultrasound, X-Ray, laboratory, and pharmacy services
- Dedicated health check facilities and day care services
- Ample parking space
The new facility has been specifically designed with a strong emphasis on emergency and critical care services, particularly to cater to the needs of those requiring rapid response along National Highway 66.
