Latest Water Levels in Key Dams
The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam has been reported to be at 122.85 feet, which is below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet. The dam currently has an inflow of 1,258 cusecs and a discharge of 800 cusecs.
In another development, the Vaigai dam water level stood at 34.06 feet, which is less than half of its maximum capacity of 71 feet. The inflow and discharge at the Vaigai dam were 116 cusecs and 86 cusecs, respectively.
Combined Storage and Rainfall
The combined storage in the Periyar credit was 3,676.49 mcft. Rainfall was recorded in various regions over the past 24 hours, with the highest being 33.2 mm at the Marudhanadhi dam.
