Groundbreaking Healthcare Initiative
A significant number of patients from Rajasthan have benefited from the outbound portability of medical scheme benefits, with approximately 30,000 individuals receiving free treatment in other states over the past six months.
The Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana has enabled patients to access specialty treatment in states like Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, with over 5,900 claims worth ₹17 crore being submitted for procedures such as heart stent placements, heart bypass surgery, cancer treatment, and dialysis.
Expanding Healthcare Horizons
The inter-state portability feature, introduced earlier this year, allows beneficiaries to access a vast network of 16,000 government and 14,000 private hospitals across the country, including premier institutions like AIIMS Delhi and Bhopal, and PGI Chandigarh.
According to Principal Medical and Health Secretary Gayatri Rathore, eligible beneficiaries can avail cashless treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh at empanelled hospitals under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) in various states, ensuring seamless and affordable healthcare experiences.
The integration of the MAA Yojana with PMJAY has been instrumental in providing free and cashless treatment to patients beyond state borders, with 1.36 crore eligible families in Rajasthan benefiting from the scheme, which covers 2,179 treatment packages for common ailments and serious conditions like cancer, heart disease, and organ transplants.
